The BRASH 10: New Cell Phones
When even your Aunt Edna sports a cell phone (OMG!) it's no surprise that cell phone sales across the world will top one billion handsets a year by 2009—making cell phones not only the most extensive consumer electronics device, but also putting cell-phone users at more than 50 percent of the world’s population. With that statistic in mind, we’d like to introduce to you the hottest phones right now and preview some ones coming up. —Allison Johnston

Samsung i900 Omnia, $270

With a name that means “everything” in Latin and “wish” in Arabic, you’d expect a truly flawless device. And Samsung certainly delivers on their promise. The Omnia, powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (which includes PowerPoint, Excel and Word), features a full touch screen (in addition to the infamous Samsung optical mouse), an impressive five-megapixel camera, and comes with every conceivable connectivity option (including WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB and more). It's no doubt Samsung’s best smartphone ever.
